ln the 5 years ICMC has been operational, we have been collecting data on our outcomes cases to establish how we can improve our services.

Reasons for Objectives not being achieved.
Out of all the cases that ICMC have closed, 55% of them achieved the objective that was agreed at the time of referral. These referrals included cases with: treatment only; return to work with the same employer; return to work with a different employer. On a further 7% of the cases the Case Management team were able to get the clients work-ready, which meant obtaining medical clarity that the individual was fit for work, that they had an updated CV and had been given either suitable training for a new career or assistance with finding a suitable job within their area.
Only 3% of the injured people who were offered rehabilitation services refused the offer of our help, whilst 6% of their representatives refused our help. 1% of these were in preference of other providers because either rehabilitation had already started prior to ICMC being contacted or the solicitors hadn't heard of the organisation and wanted to use someone else.
On 28% of the cases it was the insurer who prevented the long term goals being achieved. Of these, 9% were settled before the rehabilitation plan had been concluded; 2% were refused further funding by the insurers after the Immediate Needs Assessment; and the remaining 17%were closed without us being given a reason for the closure.
